Clear Body

The Clear untrimmed 2015 Motul Autech GT-R touring car is a visual spectacle, adorned in a striking gun metal and red livery that not only captures attention but also symbolizes its back-to-back championships in the GT500 class of Super GT. Crafted with a highly realistic polycarbonate material, the body features meticulously replicated details, including door mirrors and a rear wing, enhancing the model’s authenticity. Wing aerodynamic components further contribute to the dynamic and aerodynamically efficient appearance. The inclusion of marking stickers ensures precision in reproducing the sponsor logos and distinct red sections of the livery, completing the captivating body design.

Performance Chassis

The TT-02 chassis, with its adaptable and balanced shaft-driven 4WD system, ensures excellent stability through a longitudinal layout featuring the battery on the left and the motor on the right. Its design incorporates identical left and right suspension arms and uprights for straightforward assembly, along with easily maintainable gearboxes. The chassis offers versatility with two wheelbases, two ground clearance settings, two tread setups, and a selection of ten gear ratios. This chassis Kit includes both a torque tuned brushed motor and Hobbywing 1060 ESC. these components combine to deliver a performance enhanced on-road racing experience. The compact ESC boasts extreme performance, complemented by a built-in capacitor module for efficient power delivery. With exceptional current endurance capability, easily configurable parameters using ESC jumpers, and automatic throttle range calibration for user-friendly setup, the Quicrun 1060 stands out. Its impressive built-in BEC output capacity, built-in capacitor, and IP-67 waterproof rating further elevate its reliability, making it a top-tier choice for enthusiasts seeking optimal performance in their RC adventures. The RS-540 Torque-Tuned motor offers higher top speeds and increased acceleration.

Connector Information

When upgrading to a high current LiPo battery, it is recommended to also upgrade your battery connector. We recommend using an XT60 or T-Style connector for this application. Please check out the video below to learn how to solder on a T-Style connector.

Derek Verified Owner Tuesday, Sep 17 2024 (about a year ago) Tamiya TT-02 Motul Autech GT-R 1/10 4WD Electric Touring Car Kit Bought this as my first kit and it turned out great. Assembling the chassis was fun and straightforward. I would recommend the Tamiya tool kit (74085) if you’re going to be doing more RC stuff but not necessary. The instructions were great and easy to follow.
Painting the body was also pretty simple. Get some of the curved Lexan scissors to cut out the wheel wells. I would watch a couple YouTube tutorials if you haven’t done a clear body yet. It’s 96% one color so a great one to start with, required very little masking. Then the decals! Oh boy the decals! There are 100+ for this set. Get a cutting mat, a sharp Xacto knife, and a small ruler or something to use as a straightedge. I very much enjoyed cutting them all out and the whole thing turned out way better than I expected. 1 customer found this review helpful. I have to say that Tamiya really makes it easy for rookies to turn out an RC car they can be proud of. Easy to follow assembly steps and painting guide (decals/stickers for this kit were a challenge but just take your time and go slow…take breaks). I even added metal bearings (a must as the Tamiya plastic ones just won’t hold up over time), aluminum drive shaft and propeller shafts as well as aluminum engine mount and heatsink to keep the engine cool. All “Hop-Up’s” are a breeze and simply replace the Tamiya kit parts. Highly recommend this RC kit for rookies and veteran RC builders alike. I also highly recommend amain hobbies (top notch customer service!). Will buy from again!
