The Tamiya Rising Fighter 1/10 2WD Off-Road Buggy Kit uses aggressive styling and a proven chassis to give you a reliable, high performance buggy. Using a durable ABS resin body shell along with a detailed driver figure the Rising Fighter captures the iconic race styling that enthusiasts are looking for. Whether you are an expert or beginner this buggy features the right combination of durability and performance to keep you excited run after run.
Sharing the same pedigree as the legendary Tamiya Grasshopper and Hornet this features a semi monocoque structure which the body is secured to. This ABS resin bathtub chassis acts as a chassis reinforcement creating a rigid and durable setup. Independent swing axles are used on the front suspension and a rolling rigid suspension takes care of the rear. Controlling this suspension is a set of large-sized friction dampers effectively absorbing shocks and bumps. The fully enclosed gearbox prevents dirt and debris from coming in, and differential gears allow smooth cornering. Wide groove front tires and rear square spike tires are installed on one-piece wheels to improve off-road driving performance.

Timmy Klatte Saturday, Jul 6 2024 (about a year ago) Tamiya Rising Fighter 1/10 2WD Off-Road Buggy Kit This buggy is basically a cross between a Grasshopper 1 and a Hornet. It has the bolt together body/chassis like a Grasshopper but uses a 540 like a Hornet. It doesn’t get the love and affection the other members of this buggy family get-and that’s a shame. I put CVA shocks, bearings, and a Sport Tuned 540 on mine and it scoots real nice. The way it sits takes some getting used to-but overall it’s a decent alternative to a Grasshopper. There are quite a few different rear shock mounting modifications in the aftermarket-and that does help with its handling-and a rear axle brace is recommended as well. The shocks are also upgradeable front and rear like a Grasshopper 2. Easy to assemble for a beginner, but still fun for an expert!! View all reviews
