Modual Overview:

The Spektrum RC Sky Remote ID Module is compatible with all aircraft that require RID and is an easy solution for both new and veteran enthusiasts who wish to fly outside of FRIAs (FAA-Recognized Identification Areas). The Sky will keep you in compliance with the unmanned aircraft rulings implemented by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This digital license plate for your RC aircraft provides required information about the aircraft’s location and identification, which, if necessary, can be used by air traffic control or law enforcement to determine who and what is flying.

• Registration of the Sky is required and can be completed through the FAA DroneZone website
• This is for use when flying RC aircraft in areas not designated as FRIAs (FAA-Recognized Identification Areas)

Robert Henty Wednesday, Apr 2 2025 (6 months ago) Spektrum RC Sky Remote ID Module This gizmo seems to work and may keep the FAA off our backs for some time. It’s a relatively affordable GPS aboard the model. If there were an app on my phone that provided its flight path after the flight it would be great. The ones I have only show where the gizo located. Anyone that has ever lost a plane would be more inclined to put one of these in the model if it helped find it. It might if it kept broadcasting after a crash, it would probably helpful. However, generally in a crash, the battery, being fairly heavy, disconnects. I think they would sell better if they did something for the user. It detected the GPS satellite pretty fast. I can also attach it on my drones using a 7.4V LiPO and BEC, leaving my DX7 “ON” while using the drone’s transmitter. View all reviews
