I’m knocking a star because even though it’s only 4s and cheaper, the ESC is WAY too small and overheats after even a regular bash session. They could make it a Hobbywing max8 for the 4s and still keep it the same price, does come with the updated a arms in the box along with the non updated ones, so you essentially have spares 2 customers found this review helpful. I have only run a half a 4cell 9000mah battery through it so far (insert big time cartwheel crash) and it’s fast enough for what it is. My 1st crash musta tweeked the chassis a tiny bit because I can’t see or measure it but the steering was binding. After much deduction I shimmed one corner of steering/bulkhead to chassis connection with a thin hard plastic piece(like two layers of electrical tape thick is all and its all better. Gotta watch those steering link windows on the Mashitty, they are tight and not what we RCers are used to. Anyways, I am always happy with AMain and overall the truck and I are getting along for now. If I had the chance to buy again at that price, I’d buy two. Just beware if you are trying to bash it out with a XMaxx and a UDR, they are way tougher but 4 times the money. I have high hopes for this model and hope that the aftermarket support team grows with it.
My truck arrived flawless ready to run. i would recommend going through this R.C. To check fluids and bolts that require Loctite. Require. To be honest it’s a lot of truck for the price. Wesley Holman Verified Owner Wednesday, May 24 2023 (about 2 years ago) Redcat Machete 4S 1/6 RTR 4WD Electric Brushless Monster Truck Haven’t had a chance to run yet. V2 comes with the updated arms and driveshaft. Finally getting a chance to run it tomorrow and will write new review. So far the best $400 I’ve spent in a while from the looks and quality. 0 of 2 customers found this review helpful. Khoi Le Verified Owner Tuesday, May 16 2023 (about 2 years ago) Redcat Machete 4S 1/6 RTR 4WD Electric Brushless Monster Truck Redcat gives you a lot for your money, but wish they had included a set of free tools, such as a 17mm wrench for the wheels.
It’s still a lot of money you’re paying so felt tools should be included with the car. Also, this is my first Redcat and was disappointed that their cars ship in a throwaway brown corrugated box. 0 of 2 customers found this review helpful. View all reviews
