The quality of the bristles doesn’t lead me to believe it’s going to hold up as long as my last one either. I could be wrong, but they seem like they’re going to fall out over time. Time will tell. It won’t make it through mud or dirt that is really caked on because the bristles are a bit soft. But it works good for getting surface dust and light dirt out of all sorts of tight spaces. The natural (probably horse hair?) bristles don’t fray, which is nice for a brush you’ll use over and over. And they are slightly coarse, which is good for removing dirt and dust. The ProTek Cleaning Brush is just that…a stiff bristle paint brush with a round tip instead of a flat taper. Could you find something similar and cheaper in a hardware store? Most likely. However, the size of the ProTek brush makes it perfect for keeping in your trail back to knock off loose dirt/dust after trail rides or crawling in dirty environments, and if you’re anything like me, $8 is cheap enough to just order it and have it delivered rather than trying to remember to find one the next time I’m at the hardware store. There’s nothing “special” about this brush, but there’s really nothing wrong with it either. It’d be nice if it were a few dollars cheaper, but ultimately the juice is worth the squeeze.
