The Koswork Off-Road 8.4V DC Vacuum Air Removal Pump has been designed to be a must have setup tool. Having air in your shocks or differential can affect how they perform. Having air in your shocks can show up as being stiff in certain places to the shock expanding on its own. Having too much air in your differential can lead to premature wear or even a change in the way the differential feels. Using this air removal tool will allow you to have a blank slate ensuring that your shocks and differential work the way you intend them to.

Application

This air removal tool is powered by a 5-8.4V DC power source and can be connected by the included power cable with 4mm banana connectors. The included shock plates allow for both 17.5mm and 20mm openings for your shocks and can be removed when working with differentials.

Jason Findlay Verified Owner Saturday, Nov 30 2024 (10 months ago) Koswork Off-Road 8.4V DC Shock Air Removal Vacuum Pump (1/10 & 1/8 Shock Plates) I was hoping this would be a more reasonably priced alternative to the Hudy Air Vac but unfortunately it is not. This thing is garbage. I could not get it to pull a sufficient vacuum no matter what I did. I even went so far as to shake a bottle of my 40wt oil to force air bubbles into it and then put in this device to see if it would pull the air bubbles out. It failed miserably. I’ll just have to stick with my Tamiya hand operated vacuum. 1 customer found this review helpful. I don’t have a baseline to compare this against, as this is the only pump that I’ve used; but it gets the air out of my shocks. It was trivial to assemble. Only gripe is that the included banana plugs are 4mm instead of 5mm; but it really doesn’t make a difference, as you only need to run the motor for 45 seconds at a time, anyways. 1 customer found this review helpful. Went to do another set and it won’t turn on. The switch feels pretty janky. I plan to fix it or use the parts and build my own when I can find the time. Disappointing for sure. You simply won’t be able to put the plexiglass top on, unless you remove the springs adjustment collars, which if you have to do this much work might as well spend that time pouring the oil more carefully and gently pumping the shocks manually. I was really bummed out not to be able to use it but in the end I didn’t need it and shocks are done. P.s. wished I could add a review photo here.
