Bruce Bauer Monday, May 26 2025 (4 months ago) Furitek Springbok 9g Digital Metal Gear Servo I had a Springbok servo on my Cayman v2. The servo failed recently. I took the servo apart because I’d heard so many good things about them. It turns out the servo motor has a metal gear that drives a PLASTIC gear that in turn drives a couple more metal gears.
Any guess where it failed?
Why in the world would Furitek have ONE plastic gear in a set of all metal gears??? WTF Furitek? Kyle Kershaw Verified Owner Monday, Oct 21 2024 (11 months ago) Furitek Springbok 9g Digital Metal Gear Servo Don’t buy it for an ax24. Broke two when I dont think it should have. The first was probably my fault by not realizing the endpoint adjustment was out of whack. Too much overtravel and things started grinding ultimately to a halt. That one was on the front. The second is on the rear and is clicking during travel. Hasn’t stopped yet but suspect that isn’t far away. I’d have to call the servos fragile. May fly for an airplane but doesn’t fly for my rock crawler View all reviews
