The EcoPower WP120S Cored Waterproof “High Speed” Metal Gear Digital Servo is a great option if you are looking for an affordable, waterproof RTR servo upgrade. This high speed version of the EcoPower WP120T cranks out 360 oz-in of torque at 7.4V, with 0.07sec/60°! This makes it a great choice for 1/10 bashing, 1/10 racing, 1/8 scale, RC boat and even RC airplane applications.
The WP120S is waterproof up to 1-meter so driving in the rain, puddles, snow and mud are not an issue. Metal gears were used to create a durable gear train that is easily serviced, and the plastic case with aluminum center section keeps the servo running cool while remaining lightweight. Plus, the digital circuitry allows compatibility with vehicles that use traction control/gyro systems, making the WP110S a viable option for models that are equipped with a stability system. Swapped it in for the stock one on my Associated MT10. Definitely more than enough for that truck. The MT10 is one of my daily drivers. I do not abuse any of my RC’s like you see on popular YouTube channels but I do push them. I am currently on my 3rd power plant (motor and ESC setup) for that truck and never had any need to change this servo. On a recent run something happened. I haven’t inspected the internals yet but something is spinning internally when it shouldn’t be and it only will turn left intermittently. But that’s not the point. I called Amain support and after a quick and pleasant conversation, they shipped a replacement out that day. This is why I continue to shop a this site and why I will continue to choose EcoPower servos for my builds. I wanted to get a waterproof servo with metal gears which could be used for racing and the ratings and feedback for the Traxxas servos with metal gears was average. At the price point this servo is definitely not cheap since you can spend another 20 bucks and get Protek or Futaba branded servos. Nevertheless I decided to give it a shot.

Not as fast as you would imagine after looking at the numbers. Nevertheless the speed is just right for the Slash 2wd for racing purposes. I haven’t tried it with the servo arm that it came with and maybe it might feel a little better/different.
