The SCX6 Jeep JLU Wrangler 4WD takes “scaling” to the next level. Based on the proven SCX10 III, the SCX6 chassis is like a big brother. The 1/6 size AR90 axles offer durability and performance, while a three-link Panhard front and four-link rear suspension setup keeps things stable in extreme conditions. The transmission offers high and low gears out of the box, with an included Spektrum S614 Metal-Gear Servo installed for the two-speed linkage.
The 1/6 scale size allows incredible detail, and still fits conveniently into the trunk of your car. Rock gardens and hiking trails provide plenty of challenges to conquer as you navigate, and the Jeep JLU Wrangler accurately recreates the look of the full-size model. Even the most discriminating Jeep enthusiasts will appreciate the accuracy of the details found throughout. When the sun goes down, included LED headlights and taillights add even more realism. Huge 7″ tall BFGoodrich KM3 tires provide excellent grip and ground clearance in off-road terrain. They’re mounted on licensed injection-molded Black Rhino Primm 3-piece beadlock wheels, making it easy to swap tires without glue.
With the included Spektrum DX3 radio, you get incredible range, response, and the interference resistant benefits of DSMR technology. Combined with the Spektrum Firma Crawler 120A Smart Sensored-Brushless ESC, the SCX6 is ready to deliver the advantages of Spektrum Smart telemetry technology. Install a Spektrum Smart LiPo battery and you can view battery capacity on the transmitter’s voltage level indicator. Outfit the DX3 with the optional BT2000 Bluetooth module (not includedd), download the free Spektrum Dashboard app to your smart device, and you’re ready to use more Smart real-time telemetry — without adding on-board sensors or modules. Just add your choice of suitable iC5 equipped battery and take your adventure to an exciting new level.

The SCX 6 is big and detailed. It works very well and is more capable than I imagined. In terms of rocks, mud, and sand it is as unstoppable with exception to high centering. I also put it in high gear and drove it for close to 20 minutes on a short course track. Nothing broke or overheated and this was on 4s.
In terms of mud or sand, the stock steering servo is adequate. On rocks and on declines, the stock servo barely cuts it. Hence the 4 stars. I did install a Reefs 2000oz servo to run on 4s a week later. The servo upgrade works superbly and there’s no situation the wheels won’t turn lock to lock.
I’ve had no mechanical or electrical failures this far; I don’t abuse it, but I’m also into pushing the limits of it. Well worth the high price tag, plan on another $500 for the servo if you are a crawling enthusiast. 5 customers found this review helpful. Took my rig out on some great rock structures and it handled quite like a real jeep. The realistic views from afar was great! With the right backdrop it looks lifelike. No issues with drivetrain slippage as some owners have mentioned. Rig is still new so maybe thats why not many bolt-ons available. Ran two battery packs through it every day sense we got it 4 days ago. It is very well built & very tough, you can beat it on rocks & it can take falls with out worries. The first mod I did was to change the cap head screws on bottom of rear diff to button head screws to help keep screws from catching on rocks & we are getting a good 1/5 scale servo tomorrow. ESC/Motor & everything else seems to be spot on, very happy with it & glad we got it. Love driving it & watching it crawl. Really hope the class takes off & start having classes for it at comps. Except for servo & the two cap head screws not being button head on bottom of rear diff, Axial did a great job on this rig, Very Highly Recommend Getting One. 3 of 5 customers found this review helpful. I took advantage of one of amain hobbies sales and Purchased the JLU SCX6 Wrangler. Package arrived within two days. Awesome customer service from Amain as always. The platform looks solid. The body is a bear to get off and on. The steering servo gets the job done but it’s weak right out of the box. Nothing wrong with the stock tires but out of preference I put on the super swamper TSL tires and method wheels. That definitely didn’t help out the stock servo. as most people say there’s a lot of flex within the steering and in between the chassis along with a pan hard bar due to everything being plastic. Including the servo tray. All these issues will simply be remedied with $1000 order from Vitavon. Servo tray, steel driveshafts front and rear(obviously not needed for the steering), aluminum front knuckle and C hubs, aluminum chassis brace set, steering link set and servo horn, that also includes shock towers, high clearance link set and skid plade link mount. O And a $500 beast servo. easy money. I suspect the rig will be pretty solid after that. I am not happy with the battery tray option. They should have set up the trays for a larger platform. One of the only other things I dislike is the red differential covers. It makes a vehicle look cheap. I’ll be replacing those also. As far as how the vehicle performs I’ve only got about 10 minutes of driving. The large scale makes this vehicle very fun. With the Tsl’s i think it will eat well! The build quality helps justify the cost. I bought everything that Amain suggested and glad I did however, I would suggest the parallel Y-connector connector though. The vehicle has 2 battery mounts where you could attach them and use the parallel Y-connector for longer run times. I just tested it on my backyard on grass and first charged batteries first run and main gear stripped out. Car still making the noise but not going forward or reverse.
