Description
The Team Brood Kaze Aluminum 40mm HV High Speed Cooling Fan is a high quality fan option developed for high performance applications. The Kaze features a durable aluminum casing that will help to protect the fan blades in the event of a crash. The aluminum case also helps to dissipate heat, allowing cooler operation of the fan motor at speeds up to 28,000 RPM. The increased heat dissipation also helps to prevent internal parts from expanding and causing failure.
The fan is compatible with 2S HV LiPo systems (8.75V max), has dual ball bearings, and is pre-wired with a 2 pin connector that can be plugged directly into the receiver or another source of power. Plus, the flat sides of the aluminum case make it easy to secure the fan directly to the chassis with double side tape. With all these features combined, this fan is an excellent choice for ESCs and motors ranging 1/8 to large scale.
NOTE: For optimal performance, the fan should be installed at least 5mm away from the motor to prevent magnet interference and to allow sufficient air flow.

Zach Burnham Verified Owner Tuesday, May 2 2023 (about 2 years ago) Team Brood Kaze XL Aluminum 40mm HV High Speed Cooling Fan (Orange) This fan has incredible air flow, especially if you run it at high voltage. However, I have gone through two of them in a month. After the blades on the first one shattered I figured it was a QC issue. A-Main was nice enough to replace it for me at no charge(thank you A-Main). The replacement lasted 1 qualifier on my 1/8 buggy before its blades shattered.
My diagnosis is the quality control on these fans is subpar. Both fans appeared to have loosely fitting blades that allowed them to wobble and hit the aluminum case. This combined with minor crashes on track lead to their demise. I am by no means a pro racer, but these fans should be designed to withstand some abuse.
