Durable Off-Road Racing Buggy

This is the Inferno MP10e TKI2 1/8 Electric 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit, While based on the proven MP10e with the unrivaled record in 1/8 scale buggy racing since its debut in 1991 that continued to evolve and remain at the leading edge of competition. This electric edition of the MP10 TKI2 has been revised and updated to meet the demands of high competition level modern day racing requires with improved components, all while sharing the same platform with many compatible parts with previous releases.

About the MP10e TKI2

Drivetrain

The simple yet, highly effective drivetrain features a front metal brace and durable composite rear brace. The lightweight and smaller diameter differentials decrease rotational mass and improve straight-line speed. Beefy universal joints and dogbone driveshafts further improve durability

Chassis and Wing Mount

The solid aluminum chassis features key cutouts to aid chassis flex but also allow for the added motor supports. This support system helps to protect the motor during hard impacts. The front and rear of the chassis easily mount the bulkheads/differential carriers. The rear wing is bolted directly to the rear bulkhead and features a rigid design to add consistency during a run.

Suspension

Kyosho equipped this buggy with large volume shocks and updated the shock springs to improve the stability over rougher surfaces. Tapered shock pistons combined with tapered shock holes alter the shock movement for precise response to vibrations. Front and rear swaybars are also used to improve overall stability.

Here’s my thoughts,
Man this thing is super nice, hands down best kit I have built in a while, directions can be a little tricky at times, but as long as you are dry fitting and pre threading the parts you will have no issues what so ever. My only down fall was ordering the wrong motor, you need to have a motor that is 68mm or smaller if it’s not the. It will not fit and you will need to get the “long” can motor mount,
I highly recommend this kit.Can’t wait for the long mount to get in so I can get this on the track 3 customers found this review helpful. John Joe Verified Owner Saturday, Feb 22 2025 (7 months ago) Kyosho Inferno MP10e TKI2 1/8 Electric 4WD Off-Road Buggy Kit Great kit, had no problems, but annoying thing was cleaning the tabs off of many plastic parts and some confusing manual details. Interesting use of composite materials like shock bodies but everything seems to work well and the build went fairly smooth. Overall seems solid kit and higher quality than Tekno 2.2 or AE. On the track, the stock setting seems to have high steering and great rear traction at low speed. After some adjustments, the car gives lots of confidence to go faster but rear steering seems to drift more – could be weight distribution bias. I did break front diff cup and lost many hardware. Still, this buggy seems to have more potential than anything I ran so far. View all reviews
