The Hobbywing EZRun MAX5 G2 1/5 Scale Waterproof Brushless ESC is a 12S capable ESC designed for 1/5 scale power! The MAX5 provides the ultimate power upgrade solution for many popular 1/5 scale vehicles like the HPI Baja Buggy, Losi 5IVE-T Nitro-to-Electric Truck, and Desert Buggy XL Nitro-to-Electric buggy. It is also suitable for various other brands of 1/5 scale on-road cars, buggies, and truggies. The strong explosive, stable output power, together with excellent low-speed linearity, ensures the ESC meets various application requirements such as; violent start-up, straight-line high-speed, flying slopes, low-speed walking, etc.
NOTE:For peak performance, it is recommended to pair this ESC to the Hobbywing EzRun 56118 SD G2 Motors.

Only because the Bluetooth ODM is not built inside the ESC. So not only does it cost more than a Max6, but it also has less features for tuning. If you spend more money the Bluetooth module should be built in so you don’t have to spend another $60 for a module.
Besides that this ESC is a beast! Jake Wills Verified Owner Sunday, Sep 22 2024 (about a year ago) Hobbywing EZRun MAX5 HV G2 1/5 Scale Waterproof Brushless ESC (250A, 6-12S) I had this max 5 and I kept unplugging the motor so I could swap it between cars and I think I broke the sauder so now when I given it juice it turns off. But if I pinch the motor wires it works fine. Disassembled it and I can’t get to the broken part. So all I can think of is get another. And never unplug it. Bit of a pain. Probably user error but just a heads up. Id say it will barely overheat ina xmaxx, xrt, kraton 8s, outcast 8s, or any 1/6 vehicle, mabye 1/5 is fine, but it shouod only be geared to 60 mph, on 1/6 you can gear it to 80 mph, pr 90, but thats witht he xrt, xmaxx and those other armas 0 of 1 customers found this review helpful.
