King Dork Monday, Jun 24 2024 (about a year ago) Furitek Python X 80A Brushless ESC & Motor Combo (Perentine) Amazing control. I have all versions of the Fusion combos, several Revolvers, and many other combos. I like to try lots of options. This combo in my Gmade BOM has INSANE low speed control. The BOM has a very quiet and free drivetrain and this combo is also very quiet. Amazing control through the entire rpm range and plenty of power when needed. Running a direct power servo so unfortunately not able to take advantage of the substantial BEC. Bluetooth programming is where it’s at!! 1 customer found this review helpful. I almost found out the hard way. U can wash etc. DONOT submerge esc.
Quality outstanding,slow crawl powerful and consistent. Slower then a fusion pro. Plenty of wheel speed when you want it. App is the best,love being able to mess with stuff on the fly. Ease of use also to note.

Drew Bates Verified Owner Thursday, May 29 2025 (4 months ago) Furitek Python X 80A Brushless ESC & Motor Combo (Perentine) Before i explain the issue i will first say that furitek makes awesome stuff. Having this motor with the esc paired with a R7FG is extremely customizable. I threw this in my custom build using a trx4 2speed tranny. Prior to this set up it had a brushed 35t 550 with a HW1080. The brushed set up made some noise mostly in the transmission. But was still “quiet”. This furitek set up is LOUD! The esc is silent, but the motor being on that tranny is OBNOXIOUS! Iv checked and confirmed the mesh. Added grease to the spur gear and pinnion as well as the trans gears AND differentials. Nothing changed. It has tons of torque and amazing. Low speed control. My only complaint is the noise. In fact, it’s so powerful when driving in high gear coming to a sudden stop my opinion gear stripped the plastic gear so I replaced it with a metal one. Holy crap that made it even louder. It performs amazingly well still but when trail driving it just whines and has a metallic sound to it. Its definitely not a faulty product nor user error (i dont think) so my conclusion is that furitek has been a 24 scale champ and now being new to the 1/10 world, i imagine they still have some perfecting to do on the 1/10 scale stuff. The noise it makes is ridiculous, way louder the stock brushed setup. I first thought it could possibly be the gear mesh even though I took the time to get it right so I removed the motor and ran it while holding it and it’s still super noisy. It has a very notch feel when turning it by hand. I guess it will sit on the shelf and I’ll replace it with something better. Not happy with it at all. This motor and esc has been nothing but a nightmare. It could be just me but I couldn’t get it to work properly whatsoever I removed it from my truck and it is now sitting on my workbench. The program is a cool concept but it doesn’t work that well. I just bought a hobbywing fusion because they keep it simple very easy to program and never have I had an issue with them. I would recommend a hobbywing over the furitek any day of the week. The first thing you immediately notice is the lack of noise. I’ve got half a dozen outrunner trucks with silent ESC’s and it’s not even a comparison. Being able to watch the temps with the app is also more useful than I would have thought and the app overall is pretty easy. The only thing I adjusted from the furitek profile was the throttle curve in reverse. In my opinion, the lack of noise overall definitely makes the combo feel like the slow crawl is smoother than any of my outrunner setups. View all reviews
