Description
The economical, reliable small van T3 was manufactured from 1979.
The completely newly developed car with its modern, functional design was visibly more spacious than its predecessor. As the last type made by VW with a rear engine, it was considered the last real Bulli.
Depending on the version, its four-cylinder engine offered 50 to 112 hp. As usual, the transporter appeared in various commercial vehicle versions, but also in the form of a camper for private purposes. In particular, the successful execution of the Joker by the Westfalia company, based in Gütersloh, with which VW had been successfully cooperating since the 1950s, was very popular. The Westfalia Joker was excellently suited as a multi-function vehicle for commuting, for everyday use, but also for longer vacation trips. Over 70,000 copies of this home on wheels prove its great popularity at home and abroad. His comfortable living room with integrated drivers cab had a complete kitchen unit, seating and lying areas, storage cupboards and a practical pop-top roof.
