Christian Sutter Verified Owner Thursday, Sep 5 2024 (about a year ago) Pro-Line Toyo Open Country R/T Trail 1.9″ Rock Crawler Tires (2) (G8) These tires performed much better than I expected. I bought these because the treads look more realistic than the Hyrax tires that I usually use, and I assumed that the Toyo Open Country tires wouldn’t get good traction. In dry conditions these tires gripped the rocks almost as well as the Hyrax G8. The Toyo Open Country did not perform as well on sand and loose soil and I needed to spin the wheels more. I am using Crawler Innovations two stage foams on a Vanquish Phoenix that weighs 7.25 pounds.
In wet conditions these tires slipped a lot more than other Pro-Line tires on wet rocks, wet branches and damp soil. I will use these for trail trucks in dry conditions. 1 customer found this review helpful. View all reviews
