I got this to replace an older dual charger and this one is absolutely amazing. The menus have a slight learning curve, but once you figure it out it’s as easy as 1,2,3. The current capability is absolutely insane and it will charge gigantic 6s packs at full current even on A/C power. Ive got some old school hyperions that push 30 amps into an 8s pack. Got this little gens ace and have been very impressed. This charger will do 16 amps per channel simultaneously. That’s really good for something this size. Menu is a bit silly and I’d like dedicated buttons to change target charging voltage quicker but overall a really good compact charger. Just plug in and hit start, it will ballance and hit your target charge voltage and once it hits your set cell voltage it’s done. No memory to set. Works great if you have alot of different size packs to charge. Biggest negative, discharge amps is only 1.7 to 1.8 so it does take a while to draw a pack down. This model D300 works the same but it charges a 6s battery at whatever amperage you set it at on both channels. That’s the best feature, no limitations and faster charge times. The only thing I could see is maybe including some other popular charge leads as an added bonus. Most serious hobbyists already have a bunch but for the beginner I would see where it would be helpful. So far very happy with the purchase! Took me a few times to get the commands down, but now all I can say is WOW!!! This charger is leaps and bounds faster then my Dynamite brand lipo charger. I am running this charger on DC but do like the option to run AC if my power supply was to fail. I have also upgraded some of my packs to the Gens Ace G-tech smart packs. So easy just plug in the pack and the charger handles all the settings for you. This one is as well with out the headache of traxxas proprietary bs. With it being my first smart charger i havent really messed around with the settings nor can i compare it to others. So far ive only been charging 2200mah g-tech batteries which takes the fear of setting the wrong options and burning down your house out of the equation.
