Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion SE FOC 2-in-1 540 Spec Crawler Brushless ESC and Motor System. This innovative 2-in-1 system utilizes a compact integrated ESC giving you one of the most compact and easy to setup motor/ESC systems. Featured FOC technology provides incredible low speed control and the smooth startup needed for rock crawling. This system also uses an IP67 waterproof rating giving you the confidence to tackle any trail condition. Additionally there are several programming options built into the ESC giving you the ability to tailor the driving experience to your preferences. Packed with technology specific for scale trucks and rock crawlers the QuicRun Fusion SE FOC 2-in-1 540 Spec is an excellent addition to your next build.

David Wednesday, Mar 1 2023 (about 2 years ago) Hobbywing QuicRun Fusion SE FOC 2-in-1 Crawler Brushless ESC & Motor Purchased locally. Installed in a TRX4 Defender with stock pinion. Top speed is about the same as stock setup. What has changed is the power and low speed control. Even at a barely moving rpm this motor will likely snap parts before it stops. It has unbelievable amounts of power. Low speed is so slow, you have to really be watching because it looks like it’s sitting still. Very fascinating but useful in situations where you might be on the verge of tipping. This is the first brushless crawler motor I’ve ever used. My go to setup has always been a Hobbywing 1080 and a Holmes motor. This motor uses the same program card as the 1080, just use the item/value chart on the paperwork with the fusion for setup instead of the item/value list on the actual programmer. I’m very satisfied with this motor. I’ve only ran once with it so far but if it lasts as long as all my other Hobbywing stuff, I’ll be happy. Screw paying $150 for the PRO, this SE is all you could ever want. Slow control is beyond amazing. No more throttle control over obstacles, this does it for you. It has good low speed control.FOC allows you to keep the throttle at a set position and the ESC will adjust the power needed to go over obstacles without any change to throttle input. Brushless, sensored, motor and electric speed controller in one unit with incredible low end modulation. Plus, you get Field Oriented Control which keeps the wheels moving at a constant speed, even when encountering obstacles. It’s fantastic. The throttle control is amazing, even over the 1080 setup, which was leaps ahead of Traxxas stock ESC/Motor combo. In my opinion, this setup is just as good as the Pro version for the price point. Well, I’ve beat the snot out of this little motor for a year and so has my ten year old. He treats my crawler like a basher sometimes, but what ya gonna do? Anyway, after two trucks and multiple packs, water, mud, dirt and 90 degree heat, this thing still runs as quiet and smooth as day one. Low speed control with FOC is phenomenal. I’ll run these motors in all my rigs for the foreseeable future. Worth every penny. Plus the integrated ESC has freed up space on my chassis to mess around with weight distribution and other mods. ONE NOTE…the mounting holes are VERY shallow and will require short screws and/or shimming with washers.
