The Crazy Crawler LaserFoam “Rupture FT Pro” tire insert set is a modular tire insert option developed for competition and performance focused drivers running JConcepts Ruptures 1.9 Tires (JCO3053-02).

The FT Pro system uses three LaserFoam rings in each tire. The red “Spur Master” is the ring that provides the lateral stability. The Spur Master insert is used on the sides of the foam insert while the Heavy Duty ring is sandwiched in the middle.

NOTE: This foam package is intended to fit the JConcepts Ruptures 1.9 Tires (JCO3053-02).

These were great foams in the days where ‘foam’ was the only option. But now with 3d printed inserts, silicon inserts, and things like Webwraps, these are an old design and are massively overpriced. Performance-wise, they’re still functional and miles better than single-stage open cells, and really they work better than a traditional dual-stage “foam,” but $80+ for a set is beyond insane. If these were $30, maybe $40 I could recommend them, but at $80, they’re simply an overpriced chunk of couch cushion. Jason Cho Verified Owner Tuesday, Oct 18 2022 (about 2 years ago) Crazy Crawler LaserFoam “Rupture FT Pro” 1.9″ Foam Crawler Tire Insert Set (4) These are the best inserts you can get for the Jconcept Rupture 1.9 tires, albeit with some modifications. These foams are made for heavier rigs (9-11 lbs) and my rigs weigh anywhere 5-6 lbs. So to make these foams work, I cut the spurs on the outer foams (red) and left the spurs intact on the inner foam (white). To compare foam inserts a lot of people use for the Ruptures, Pro-Line Dual Stage. These foams are comparable in terms of softness and squishiness, but the sidewall are much firmer and hold better for sidehilling and those inner and outer tire gripping climbs. Highly recommended but are more expensive than other foams, but the trade off in terms of added performance, it’s worth every penny. View all reviews
